Our History
Founded in 1987 by Ron and Judy Meins, Garden City Plastics has grown from a small operation into a leading provider of pre-owned plastics processing equipment. Our journey began when Ron Meins, leveraging his extensive experience in the plastics industry, identified a need for high-quality, affordable used equipment. Starting with just a few machines stored in a garage, the business rapidly expanded, now occupying six large buildings, an off-site warehouse, and a custom printing facility in Garden City, Missouri. Ron Meins’s dedication and vision drove the company’s growth. Starting with local machine shops, Garden City Plastics continued to evolve into a recognized industry leader.
Throughout our history, Garden City Plastics has helped thousands of organizations with their operations, and we’ve succeeded through industry changes and challenges through an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Establishment of Garden City Plastics.

Expansion to a larger facility to accommodate our continuously growing inventory.

Our Mission & Values

Our refurbishment services extend the life of machinery, helping customers reduce waste while contributing to a greener, more responsible industry. Every day, we actively renew, reuse, and recycle surplus assets from our customers. Our warehouses are filled with equipment and parts that might have otherwise ended up in landfills or scrap yards—now given a second life through thoughtful repurposing. To further reduce our footprint, we’ve installed solar panels on the roof of one of our largest facilities, offsetting a portion of our energy consumption and reinforcing our commitment to responsible resource use.

We offer reliable, end-to-end equipment delivery services designed to ensure your machinery arrives safely, securely, and on schedule. Our in-house fleet includes three semi tractors with dry van and flatbed trailers, as well as a 26-foot box truck—allowing us to handle most pickups and deliveries directly. When needed, we also work with a trusted network of logistics brokers to arrange freight, ensuring flexible and efficient transportation solutions tailored to your needs.
